SilencePad respects your privacy.
SilencePad only uses the microphone when you turn listening on (arm it). It uses the mic to hear voice commands such as “silence on” / “silence off” and to detect when you stop speaking so it can insert a new line or send. The microphone is not used when listening is off.
SilencePad does not upload, store, or transmit your voice recordings or notepad text to SilencePad servers. The app does not operate its own cloud backend for your content.
Voice commands may use Apple’s built-in speech recognition. That processing is provided by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms and system settings on your Mac.
SilencePad does not require an account, does not use advertising, does not sell your data, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app.
